For this project of making furniture, we were asked to find our own way to create an impression of lightness. I found it interesting how heels carry the human weight while creating  space under the sole.  When you stand in front of this sofa, it looks like people are sitting on a large wooden loop of laminated wood which encircles air. A contradiction of just a wooden frame carrying the human weight gives you a strong impression of lightness.
