Crafted entirely by hand, KAE Table Lamp celebrates the unique character of each individual sheet of Shiroishi washi—traditional Japanese paper that is fully produced in Shiroishi City, Miyagi Prefecture, from raw materials to final sheet formation.
This lighting fixture puts the washi paper itself in the spotlight. Its shade can be easily assembled from a flat sheet into a three-dimensional form by folding along gentle curves. Designed to be slipped onto a socket, the lamp allows users to enjoy switching between different paper colors, patterns, and shapes—offering a playful, customizable experience.
