Multiple Perspectives

Year/2020
For this project with Mudac, the design museum in Lausanne, Switzerland, we were asked to design objects for their new facility called Platform 10.  In order for people to see design from many perspectives,  I decided to design an object triggering visitors to start thinking how others see design. This bench works also as a stool. Visitors can casually move it to their own ideal place and leave it there. Suddenly you see the footprints of visitors. I hope this product will give people an opportunity to see things differently.

This is how it looks when stacked. By making it difficult to tell where one stool starts, I created an illusion and incorporated the humor of a design museum. The pattern also links to the building itself.
